Welcome in the Ariège, the ‘Toscane‘ of France where you can enjoy of peace and quiet and the generosity of the local population. A landscape which is full of memories of the past: from Roman churches, Cathar-ruins, Medieval castles until pre-historic caves.

With a view of the headlands of the Pyrenees, cyclists, walkers and bikers will enjoy the beauty on one of his trips!
Foix: Capital of the department Ariège, 25 km south of Thibaut. Presiding over everything is the grey hilltop castle with his three dissimilar towers.
	Toulouse: The sixth biggest city in France, 65 km north of Thibaut. It is the fastest growing town in Europe at this moment! It is also a university-town so there are lots of things to do. This ‘pink’ town is most beautiful when the sunset plays with the colours of the many palaces. TIP: every first Sunday of the month, all musea are free to visit!
Carcassonne: This renowned town is situated 1 hour and a half (90 km) drive north-east of Thibaut. A town witch is rich ion history and unfortunately also rich ion tourists.
Mirepoix: Medieval place with a remarkable square. It’s situated halfway to Carcassonne and is easily to combine with a visit to the Citée. If you go on a Monday, you can enjoy the local market.
	Ax-les-Thermes: Unobjectionable spa resort with more than eighty hot-springs. A most convenient center for skiing or hiking.
Lourdes: It is in this little foothill village that the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette for the first time in 1858. It is situated at a 2 hour (120 km) drive from Thibaut.
	Andorra: Tax-free state for those who like to shop! About 120 km south of Thibaut.
