Welcome in the Ariège, the ‘Toscane‘ of France where you can enjoy of peace and quiet and the generosity of the local population. A landscape which is full of memories of the past: from Roman churches, Cathar-ruins, Medieval castles until pre-historic caves.

Foix: Capital of the department Ariège. Presiding over everything is the grey hilltop castle with his three dissimilar towers.
Toulouse: The sixth biggest city in France, This ‘pink’ town is most beautiful when the sunset plays with the colours of the many palaces. TIP: every first Sunday of the month, all musea are free to visit!
Carcassonne: a town witch is rich ion history and unfortunately also rich ion tourists.
Mirepoix: Medieval place with a remarkable square. If you go on a Monday, you can enjoy the local market.
Ax-les-Thermes: Unobjectionable spa resort with more than eighty hot-springs. A most convenient center for skiing or hiking.
Lourdes: It is in this little foothill village that the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette for the first time in 1858.
